Deadline Newsroom - We are kid-Christmas-morning elated to announce the reopening of our vastly new and improved DeadlineNews.Com web site, where "News that really hits home," has a vibrant, cutting-edge design to take the real estate news world by storm.

Pardon us if we gush.

There's no need to read further, except to learn where we've been and where we are going. All the action once published here is now available at DeadlineNews.Com.

Go there, get our RSS feed, subscribe by email, read, enjoy and spread the word. We are back, baby!

Don't hesitate to give us feedback and let us know of any glitches you find. We have a few holes to patch and a lot of work yet to do.

For the past half decade, our backshop, the Deadline Newsroom, has served as a temporary dock for access to award-winning news we've published since 1999.

That's dramatically changed now that we've finally launched our hot new DeadlineNews.Com website and have set sail for new adventures on the high seas of real estate news.

We've added consumer/personal finance news and some offbeat fun to our portfolio of news, analysis and information.

First, a pause for the cause: Our relaunch was fueled largely by the efforts of Ned Buratovich of ImagiNedWebDesign.com who single-handedly restored our faith in the web-designing crowd. He was able to accomplish in a few months -- on time and well within budget -- what it took two other "web designers" three years to merely attempt. Brickbats to them. A bouquet for Buratovich.

On Monday, August 29, we stopped reporting stories in DeadlineNews.Com's backshop blog here to transition shipments of news back to our flagship website DeadlineNews.Com.

That's where news that really hits home has become more inviting than ever with user-friendly, menu-driven navigation to news in a host of categories, interactive social networking, illustrative images, videos and more content and visual appeal to come.

DeadlineNews Group is an award-winning collection of editorial content and editorial content consulting services originally launched as only a website in 1999. The company has served more than 60 clients on and off line.

DeadlineNews.Com is the Group's flagship, a bootstrap web site that sprang from the technology and real estate boom era of the late 1990s, when Broderick Perkins, a pioneer in digital news, parlayed more than 30 years of old-school journalism into an online real estate news service offering "News that really hits home!"

• Nearly four years ago, almost to the day, an outdated user interface and aging web site design forced us to dry-dock DeadlineNews.Com and move editorial operations to the backshop, the Deadline Newsroom. The backshop, retaining our most recent four year news archive, will now also serve as an open house, a behind-the-scenes look into a bustling newsroom covering real estate, consumer, personal finance and offbeat news.

We sincerely thank all who've remained with us through this long, arduous transition.

Now, let's get this party started.
